Upcycle Textiles (Ages 12+)

Description

Upcycling textiles is the act of taking fabrics that is no longer in use and giving it a second life and new function. In doing so, the finished product often becomes practical, valuable, and beautiful than what it previously was.

The students will be going to explore their creative divergent thinking skills while using unused fabrics as the main material. In order to bring some of the ideas to life, the students will tap into some fundamental skills such as hand sewing, braiding, weaving, measuring and cutting in different dimensions. Come join us for some upcycle fun!
